ABOUT US

Educational Consulting with Purpose

Heather Anderson has been a teacher since 2001 and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2005. She has taught in Maryland and Oregon in both elementary and middle schools and is currently the Reading and Math Intervention Teacher and Literacy Coach at Juniper Technology Magnet School in Bend, Oregon. In 2016, she was recognized as the Oregon Teacher of the Year and in 2017, she also received the NEA Award for Teaching Excellence. She received her B.A. from Oregon State University and M.A.T. from George Fox University. She also has an M.A. in Teacher Leadership from Johns Hopkins University and an EdS in Educational Technology at Walden University. She coaches and supports educators in a variety of areas ranging from National Board Certification to best practices in ELL, literacy, and math.  She aspires to empower students in her community and provide them with educational technology opportunities.

Michele Oakes is a National Board Certified teacher who knows the importance of teacher leadership, strong professional learning and collaboration with peers. She has 24 years of classroom teaching and coaching experience.  She is currently the Mentor Program Coordinator for four Central Oregon districts, Bend-La Pine’s Professional Advancement and Support System Coordinator and presides as the Co-chair of the Governor’s Educator Advancement Council in Oregon.  Her passion is support teachers as they grow professionally and supports the district, and state’s, National Board candidates and elementary teachers in their writing instruction development. Michele earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies and M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from San Diego State University and an Initial Administrative license from the University of Oregon. Her goal is to support teachers as they demonstrate accomplished teaching and fine tune their practice through on-going learning and reflection.
